Dren Selimi

Biography

Dren Selimi has a solid background in research, public policy, and international development. He played a key role at the International Civilian Office (ICO) as Deputy Head of Communication, managing the internal and external communication on behalf of the ICO and the Head of Mission, Pieter Feith. He also led the advocacy and legislative process for the RTK Law that enabled the creation of a separate channel in Serbian. During his previous tenure at GAP Institute, a leading think tank in Kosovo, he engaged in policy analysis and research, focusing on socioeconomic development, good governance, and public reforms. His involvement with PostPessimists as a teenager, a regional youth initiative, highlighted his commitment to promoting dialogue and cooperation among youth in Pristina, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Mostar, and Zagreb. While at Helvetas, Dren focused on fostering social dialogue and catalyzing private sector development, including northern Kosovo, engaging local communities and international stakeholders in sustainable economic initiatives. In his current position at the BPRG, he is engaged in monitoring the ongoing Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, the implementation of agreements achieved by parties, and closely analyzing the security dynamics in the northern municipalities.
